The short version: QuitCoach AI is a coaching and support tool to help you quit smoking. It is not a medical device. Use it honestly, don't abuse it, and understand that quitting smoking is hard — we'll do our best to help but we cannot guarantee outcomes.
1. Acceptance of terms
By downloading or using QuitCoach AI, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. These terms apply to all users of QuitCoach AI.
2. Who can use QuitCoach AI
QuitCoach AI is intended for users aged 18 and over. By using the app you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. The app is designed for people who smoke or vape and wish to quit or reduce their use.
3. What QuitCoach AI is and is not
QuitCoach AI is a behavioural coaching and support application. It is designed to help users quit smoking through evidence-based techniques including cognitive behavioural coaching, craving management tools, and structured quit programs.
QuitCoach AI is not:
- A medical device
- A substitute for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
- A guarantee of quitting success
- A crisis intervention service
Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting or changing any smoking cessation program, particularly if you are using prescription medication.
4. The AI coach
The coaching functionality in QuitCoach AI is powered by Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic. The AI coach is designed to provide supportive, evidence-based cessation coaching. It does not provide medical advice.
AI responses are generated automatically and may occasionally be inaccurate or inappropriate. If you receive a response that concerns you, please contact us at brittenlabs@gmail.com.
You agree not to use the AI coach to generate harmful, illegal, or abusive content.
5. Purchases and refunds
QuitCoach AI offers a free tier and a one-time Pro purchase. All purchases are processed through Google Play. Refund requests are subject to Google Play's refund policy. We will consider refund requests made within 48 hours of purchase on a case-by-case basis — contact us at brittenlabs@gmail.com.
6. Your responsibilities
- Use the app honestly and for its intended purpose
- Do not attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or exploit the app
- Do not use the app in any way that violates applicable laws
- Do not attempt to circumvent any usage limits or rate limiting
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Brittenlabs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of QuitCoach AI. Our total liability to you for any claims arising from use of the app shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app.
We make no guarantee that using QuitCoach AI will result in you successfully quitting smoking. Quitting is hard and outcomes depend on many factors beyond our control.
8. Intellectual property
QuitCoach AI and all content within it — including the coaching program, daily lessons, and tool content — is the intellectual property of Brittenlabs. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any content from the app without written permission.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the app. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Philippines. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Davao City, Philippines.
